Make a card using Black and Brown. You may use other colors in your image, but I want the card to read mostly Black and Brown.

Friends Furever!

Happy Monday everyone .... it is time for another CCEE challenge. Each month one of our challenges we do is a supply one where one of our members sends each of us exactly the same supplies with which we are supposed to create our cards. This month our supplies were organised by Cindy Haffner. Cindy asked Kim from MFT if she would send the girls the MFT "Friends Furever" set (well not Cammie or Frances because they already had them.). This is such a fun set! Cindy also added another part to this challenge .... we had to use 2 different design papers on our card.

Our CCEE group have been doing our challenges for over a year now and we all have such fun doing our challenges. Now that we have our blog we thought it might be fun to open up our challenges to include you all in our challenges ... each week we will post our cards and what our challenge for the week is ..... if you would like to play along then please do! Don't forget to post a comment here linking us to your creation. If you upload to SCS please use the keyword CCEEC. We would love to see what you come up with.

If you would like to play in our challenge this week and do not have the MFT "Friends Furever" set .... don't worry you can still play. Use 2 different design papers with any dog image.

CNFS - Orangegymnut!

Hi and welcome to our blog, this Monday is one of our favorite challenges we get to do - CNFS challenge. What is this .... it is our Catchy Name Featured Stamper challenge ... once a month we select someone from SCS who has a "catchy" user name and create cards in her honor and send her the cards we made.

This month our CNFS is Tanya aka Orangegymnut! The guidelines for our cards this week was that they MUST have orange in them and have something to do with the gym!

Polkadots and Gingham!

I absolutely love the challenge given to us by Cindy Haffner to make a card using polkadots and gingham ribbon! Two of my favorite items for cards!

I used SU's Spring dp in the polkadots to cover my scalloped piece of chipboard and then sponged the edges in Close to Cocoa. I tied the gingham ribbon on the one side and then I taped another piece of the ribbon underneath the large scallop and behind the dp to make it appear as though it is one piece of ribbon being used.

I also used SU's Spring dp and my 3/4" square punch for the corners by cutting them in half and then sponging them in Close to Cocoa.

I stamped Enjoy Your Day from SU's Riveting set, covered the center with a brown button, and inserted two pink brads on each side of the button.

Dots and Gingham!!

It's Monday, and that means it's time to upload a card that I was challenged to make by Cindy Haffner for our CCEE group. This week we were to make a card with polka dots and gingham ribbon. I, being the blonde that I am (well, my roots are...) made a card for next weeks challenge instead, (we get the whole month ahead of time) so I guess I'm a week ahead now. That's why I'm late to the arrival today. Today is my In-Law's 53rd wedding anniversary, so I made this card this morning.

I started off by picking out my paper (had to have polka dots) and went from there with the colors and images. This gorgeous paper is from My Minds Eye...the textures, colors, and prints are all soooo gorgeous. I got them at my local LSS and am in LOVE. You'll be seeing a lot from me with these papers, cause I can't get enough of them. This card uses the papers called Je Taime from the Tres Jolie line. YUM!!

The piercing was done with a piercing template that I got from Ellen Hutson's webstore, and the scallops were made with my slit punch from Stampin up. The small scallops along the bottom were done with an adaptable blade for my paper trimmer. Thanks for stopping by.

Ginger and Polka Dots

I love the combination of polka dots and gingham. I didn't have anything I needed for this card I had in my mind, so I had to be a little inventive. The dots are created with a pencil eraser and white embossing powder. The pink edging paper is white colored with a pink passion SU marker. The quote is computer generated because the stamp I have of this didn't fit the space. The only addition supplies needed are black and white cs, Offray gingham ribbon, a black button, and a prima flower. This great sketch format was created by our own Frances (StampOwl).

It's My Polka Dotted Pleasure!

This is my card for this week's challenge as assigned by Cindy Haffner! Cindy if you weren't in Canada I would give you a big ole hug! This is my story:

1. It truly is my polka dotted pleasure to make a card with polka dots on it! Right up my alley as they say!

2. I totally 100% forgot about the gingham part of the challenge. I got so wrapped up in the polka dots that I forgot we were required to use gingham! Yikes.....

3. As a result I added the gingham powered rocket ship in the corner totally at the end. I turned my nice flowery pleasurable polka dotted card into a crazy 4th of July exploding gingham powered rocket ship that is taking my nice flowers with it when it takes off! Who's idea was the gingham anyway? Good thing you are in Canada Cindy! Snort!

4. I am thrilled with these polka dotted flower stamps. They were a gift from our very own Jojot (Joanne) aka Snosnot (cuz she does snowflake cards really good! ) Thank you again Joanne! These stamps rock!

5. Even though I am watching for challenge requirements really well this week, I probably won't sound the blog bee buzzer on anyone today. Last week I was too shy and this week? Well, how can I buzz anyone that puts polka dots on their cards!!!! Watch out for next week though cuz my buzzer finger is itching for some action! Happy Today!

Black Magic Flower

This week our challenges was "to create a card using any kind of polka dots & gingham ribbon". Not too difficult a challenge this week .... and one some of our CCEE members should enjoy esp considering some of them just love polka dots!

I recently discovered the "Black Magic" technique and wanted to play with that this week ..... using my new acquired Fabulous Flowers Set from SU. This is a really easy technique to do. I stamped the flower out 3 times using white pigment ink onto black card and then allowed this to dry. I then too two different colored pink prismacolor pencils and colored in the flower petals. Once the flower was colored I outlined each petal using a white pen. I then cut out each flower ... to get 3 different layers and used my bone folder to give them a little shape before securing them together with a black jewel brad.

Ok now to the challenge requirements ... I used my swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder to add the dots to my blush blossom layer and also used the rose red DP that had polka dots. For my gingham ribbon ... yes it is there Cindy M ... check again LOL ... I layered it onto my black ribbon before tying it into a bow and adding it to my card. Phew no buzzer for me this week.

Gingham and Polka-Dots

My CCEE Challenge with my CCEE Friends. This month is my turn to give the challenges , so this week I decided that we need to use gingham and polka-dots.
