Pieced and Pierced

Charlene (LilLuvsStampin)

For my CCEE challenge card to use paper piecing, I used the pocket from Stampin' Up's Pocket Fun. I used a jean-like designer paper and bandana paper from Paper Studio to piece my pocket. I stamped froggie and the leaves with Old Olive onto Old Olive cardstock and cut them out. I used SU's flower punch for the flowers in the pocket. As you can see, I also did a lot of paper piercing on this card just in case any of my CCEE buddies tried to tell me I had the challenge wrong. Yes, we have a certain person who likes to use the buzzer, if you know what I mean. But, it's all in good fun!

Verve Love Card

I love this stamp set by Verve, Anniversary Birds!! LOVE IT!! I've had it for quite awhile and haven't had a chance until today. It's Monday and time for another challenge that I do with a goofy group of friends on SCS. Cindy Haffner provided the challenges for us this month, and today we were to paper piece. Notice I said piece, not pierce!!! There are others in the group that might try to convince you that we were to pierce too. That, was not required. In fact, if you'd like to see the other's cards, go visit our new blog...CCEE Stampers.

I first stamped the images with Espresson (Adirondack), then paper pieced the right bird and both wings with K&Company ancestry. The circles and long rectangle were all diecut with nestabilities. The edging under my pearl panel was a piece of a nestability cut rectangle, trimmed off and glued underneath. All the edges have been ink distressed with Frayed Burlap (Ranger Distress Ink) I got the pearls from JoAnn's.

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check out our CCEE blog to see what the others do with their piecing.

Pieced Pansies

First time ever blogging....I hope I do this correctly!
I resorted to a stamp I've had for a long time for this challenge. All the flowers and the larger leaves are paper pieced. All stamping is embossed, and the final image is adhered to a chipboard coaster from a restaurant, covered with designer paper.
recipe: stamp (PSX), ink (black pigment), paper (Stampin'Up perfect plum, various designer papers), accessories (brads, chipboard coaster, black ep)

Pieced Challenge

Here is my card for the CCEE challenge this week---
This card features two of the new sets that will be available from My Favorite Things on Wednesday (June 4)! The ice cream dish is from Here's the Scoop and the cool circular "Congratulations" design and the sentiment is from Congrats All Around.

I created this card using the MFT sketch of the week (MFTSC33). I also used this for my CCEE Monday challenge--which was to create a card using paper piecing. (I pieced the sundae dish and the ice cream!)

More details about this card can be found on my blog:

Thanks!

Daddy's Baby Girl

It's Monday! Happy Monday! Time for our weekly challenge. Cindy Haffner was in charge of this month's Monday challenges. We were to make a card and it had to have paper piecing on it. I paper pierced the baby giraffe.

This is my story:

Okay, so you might think I have all of the sudden become obsessed with these soft little boxes. I am having fun using them as windows for my cards. This is the window Daddy looked through at the hospital when he was first viewing his precious little baby girl. All pretty in pink she was! Daddy is excited to see how she can peak out way above her crib...that means she is gonna have a nice long neck. That's important when you are a giraffe! Momma and Daddy did good!

You Scream, I Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream

This is a Double Challenge. I do a weekly challenge with my CCEE friends and this month is my month to issue the challenges. This week I asked everyone to use paper piecing on their card.

The wall paper on my card is paper pieced.

This stamp is a brand new set that MFT is releasing Wednesday Night, it's called Here's The Scoop. What gal doesn't love ice-cream.

This is also the Sketch Challenge for MFT.

STAMPS: MFT, Here's The Scoop. INK: Copic Markers. PAPER: Old Olive, Pretty In Pink, DP. Ribbon, spellbinder dies, gel pen.

You Bring The Ice Cream!

Happy Monday everyone and welcome to our new CCEE Stampers blog where my CCEE friends and I will be uploading our Monday challenges cards every week.

I combined two challenges to create this card. First up it is my CCEE challenge, this week our challenge was paper piecing. I paper pieced the blouse the girl is wearing using the same dotted paper that I used on the back panel of the card.

It is also this week's MFT sketch challenge over on the MFT Member Forum of SCS.

I selected a pink & brown color scheme for this card using various shades of pinks & browns. The scallop rectangle was created using my rectangle nestabilities ... cutting two rectangles and then joining them to get the width I needed. The circle is also created using nestabilities .... I also used my swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder to add texture. The ribbon was white that I colored using my copic markers.

The stamps used on this card are the new "Here's the Scoop" stamp set by MFT stamps to be released this Wednesday 4th June.
