Modern Grid!

Good morning everyone and welcome to our CCEE Stamper blog. Are you ready for another challenge!

This week begins a new challenge month so that means we have a new challenge hostess which is Dawn Lusk. I am sure she has some wonderful challenges lined up for us. To start our month of Dawn has given us a technique challenge .... most of us enjoy technique challenge! This month's technique is the modern grid technique.

If you haven’t tried this technique before it is pretty easy to do, here's how:

  1. Stamp your image or images randomly over your card

  2. Now take a ruler and black marker and draw lines equally spaced vertically and horizontally. Make sure you stop your line when you get to the stamped image and then start again on the other side of the image.

  3. Add dots or doodles to some of the squares. You can also color in some squares if you desire. You could also add smaller image stamps that suit the theme or words too. You can see what I mean about other images and words by one I did when I first learnt this technique here.
So are you going to play along this week??? All you need to do is to create a card using the modern grid technique . Once you have created your card/project come back here and place a comment with a link to your card/project to this post so that we can see what you created. If you upload your card/project to SCS don't forget to include the keyword CCEEC.

OK now it i s time to check out what the CCEE Stampers created this week.

  1. Well, that's a new technique to me! I'll have to think about what stamps will work - just as well to have these inspiring samples. Love the gloss on Cindy M's, and the way Cindy H's looks like glazed tiles - and Charlene's is making me want to go and cut a slice from what's left of DH's birthday cake.

  5. Well, this went in totally a different direction to what I planned this morning. I was going to do something with a peacock, because my mother used to have a lovely tiled ceramic peacock tray. I arrived early to a tea-party instead - http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1404844?cat=785. I'll definitely be trying this technique again - thanks, Dawn, for introducing it to me.
