CCEE1333 - Brick Wall Card

Third week in August; third challenge for me!!!  Vicky here again challenging you to make a card using the brick wall technique.  You can find a tutorial here...first time for me, but I love doing new things.

I used the Sizzix brick wall embossing folder, a digital I colored and glued to designer paper and then did the tutorial...I must admit, I need a whole lot more practice!!!

Come join us in this challenge.  You can link your card back on this blog using the Mr. Link at the bottom of the page.  If posting on Split Coast Stampers, please add CCEE1333 to your keywords.

Show us your brick walls and have a fun, creative day!

CCEE1332 - Make Your Own Embellishments

Can you believe it's the second week in August already!!!  Vicky here, back with the second challenge of the month.

This time, I challenge you to make your own embellishments -- button, flowers, brads, etc.  Also, please use at least two designer papers and an embossing folder on your card.  Let me just tell you at this point, when I went to post my card, I realized that I had not added the pearl earrings, so back to the camera; then, I realized I had not used two designer papers; back to the camera; THEN, I realized I had not used an embossing folder...so much time in this card....last time, back to the camera.  I guess reading your own challenge is an important thing!!!  LOL!  Lesson learned!

Please join us this week (read the challenge carefully unlike MOI!).  Link back to Mr. Linky at the bottom of the page and if posting and on Split Coast Stampers, please add CCEE1332 to  your keywords.

Have a fun, creative day!

CCEE1330 Old-school Color Blocking

It's Sabrina again - with the last challenge in July, so next week we have a new hostess with more fun challenges to look forward to.

There are several different ways of colour-blocking, but for this particular challenge I'm asking you to use one particular style only - several different colours/patterns of card cut into block shapes and pieced together, with stamping on some/all of them. I'm sure you'll understand exactly what I'm thinking of when you see the lovely designs the team have come up with. I hope that their beautiful cards will inspire you to have a go at old-school colour blocking. Be sure to link up here or use the keyword in your SCS uploads if you have a go at it.

CCEE1329 ~ Sing, Sing a Song

It's Sabrina again, with the next July challenge ~ Sing, sing a song (sing out loud, sing out strong).

We may not all have the most melodic voice, but we can all make a lovely card inspired by the lyrics of any song. I'm not much of a singer, but my husband sings all the time, and it often amuses me when we're out walking and he starts singing a song inspired by something he's seen - an advertisement on a wall, or whatever. Often he doesn't realise what's inspired him, but I usually notice. He can find a song for every occasion!

The challenge is simply to make a card inspired by the words or title of any song. Be sure to share the song too, in case we can't guess it.

I hope you'll find some inspiration in the great cards the team have made, and enjoy the songs too! When you've created your own card inspired by a song, don't forget to link here on the blog, or use the keyword if you're sharing in the SCS gallery.

CCEE1328 ~ Collage Stamping

It's Sabrina here again, with another challenge for you. Are you ready to get a little arty today?
My challenge this week is to use at least FOUR different stamps to create a collage. It's something that used to intimidate me and I usually used to end up using a ready-made collage stamp, but I got over that !! You can find tutorials here and here on Splitcoast Stampers,  and the write-up in WT331 is actually what got me over my fear of collage stamping.
So...be inspired by the wonderful collage creations the team has come up with, pull out your own stamps to create your own collage, and then come and link it here so we can enjoy your creativity.
